Zach Trdinich is an experienced student researcher pursuing a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) specializing in electronic and energy materials. He is skilled in materials synthesis and characterization with a focus on 2-dimensional materials and batteries. A seasoned communicator and natural leader, he possesses a team-oriented mindset.

Outside of the classroom, Zach has a passion for sports. He was a pitcher on the Penn State Club Baseball team, winning the NCBA D1 National Championship in 2023. When he is not playing baseball, you can find him rooting for his favorite team, the Pittsburgh Pirates. In addition to baseball, he also enjoys disc golf and golf.

Aside from sports, Zach has a keen knowledge of technology. He enjoys learning about new products and inventions either through YouTube or reading online articles. Additionally, he is a skilled video editor with years of experience using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
